Clearly he’s not vetoing every beer, he’s going to veto “…bills with ear marks”. Which is a great thing. But it’s easy to take a simple misspoken word and turn it into election outrage.

All of the sides have done this, “bottle hot water for dehydrated babies“, “Terrorist Fist Jabs“, “57 states“. It’s shameful really.

It’s a funny thing about the US election this time round. The level, detail and rate that history is being recorded at is amazing. You have YouTube, iReports, Twitter Feeds, Aggregation of Data. The candidates literally have every waking second recorded, analyzed, reported, edited and reformatted at near real time.

The degree with which things can be misconstrued, misinterpreted and just blatantly misrepresented is amazing.
